Originally trained as an embroiderer she started specialising in Beadwork in the early 1990. Her style is quite unique in that she keeps inventing new and unusual technical details which she incorporates into her work. These take many hours -sometimes days-of experimenting which she finds both exhilarating and frustrating at the same time. Inspiration strikes continually and each new design idea triggers many variations.
Much of her work serves as teaching samples but she also exhibits and sells some of it. She teaches for the Beadworkers' Guild and the Bead Society but also visits private Beading Groups and gives talks about her work all over the country.
She has taken part in the Studio Trail for eight years now and very much enjoys talking to so many interested visitors on the Trail some of whom come back year after year. Also, visitors often introduce friends and contact is kept up afterwards.
